CEO

Alexandre began his career in the financial security department of a major banking group before joining the French Ministry of Finance's financial intelligence unit. Prior to founding Timios, he served as a director at a French business intelligence firm, where he primarily led financial investigations and asset-tracing assignments. He holds a degree from Sorbonne Law School and is a regular guest lecturer on issues of economic security. He speaks French, English, and Arabic.

Stéphane Marbeau

COO

Before joining Timios, Stéphane served as the Director of Research and Content at OKX, one of the largest cryptocurrency exchange platforms globally. His research focuses on the geopolitical implications of emerging monetary technologies. Stéphane regularly delivers lectures on these subjects in institutional and business environments and acts as a specialized analyst for business intelligence groups. He is currently pursuing a PhD at the University of Oxford, focusing on crypto-assets. Stéphane speaks French and English.

Gabriel Villegas

Head of AML and Crypto

A graduate in law and philosophy, Gabriel served for ten years as a civil servant at the French Ministry of Economy and Finance, where he worked as an investigator specializing in AML/CFT, tax intelligence, and blockchain-based financial crime. He is the founder of Koldata, an agency focused on crypto-asset–related investigations. Gabriel also teaches economic and financial security at Sciences Po Paris and criminal financial analysis at the University of Strasbourg. He speaks French, Spanish, and English.

Iyad Jaber

Head of Middle East

A former career diplomat with the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Iyad brings in-depth expertise across the Middle East, North Africa, and Sub-Saharan Africa. He has held senior diplomatic positions in Paris, Geneva, and several Arab countries, specializing in conflict and post-conflict environments, mediation, and crisis management. During his diplomatic tenure, he worked on the front lines of major crises in Libya, the Sahel, and West Africa. Well-versed in the United Nations system, he is a seasoned multilateral negotiator with extensive networks across governments, civil society, and international organizations. Near-permanently based in Damascus, he speaks French, English, and Arabic.

Damien Saverot

Head of Analysis

Damien is a PhD graduate of the École Normale Supérieure (Ulm) in political science, and a lecturer at Sciences Po Paris and St John's University. His research specializes in Middle Eastern matters, notably geopolitics in the post-Arab spring context and political movements related to Islam and Islamism. Damien has also worked multiple years in advising public administrations and civil servants, as well as contributions to the academic and public debate, on various subjects related to Islam in France. He speaks French, English, and Arabic.

Maëva Drevet

Head of Investigations

With over a decade of experience spanning field operations and strategic analysis within the French Ministry of Defence, Maëva brings deep expertise in complex and sensitive environments. Drawing on years of field deployment, notably in the Middle East, she has developed a granular understanding of local power structures, informal networks, and conflict-affected societies. She has led multidisciplinary teams and managed high-stakes operations in volatile contexts, combining operational leadership with rigorous investigative analysis. Her work focuses on decoding opaque ecosystems and translating complexity into clear, actionable strategic insight. She speaks French, English, and Arabic.

Édouard Klein

Head of Cyber

An engineer and PhD in computer science, Édouard Klein specializes in blockchain investigations, applied cryptography, and digital forensics. A former commissioned officer at the C3N, the cybercrime unit of the French Gendarmerie, and a judicial police officer, he established blockchain forensic analysis there and contributed to several major judicial investigations. He then worked with Chainalysis before continuing, through Beaver Labs, to carry out consulting, judicial expert, and training assignments in blockchain, information security, and technical investigations, notably for magistrates and investigative services, as well as in Paris law schools and engineering schools. He speaks French and English.
